2020 Registration Guideline to Your Virtual Concert
Registering your virtual performance takes only minutes on our updated Gemini database.
1) Go to Register for Make Music Salem
Enter your email address.
Use the auto-generated password or create your own..
A warning message will display: “Due to social distancing concerns this year, our community is disabling the "matchmaking" features for Make Music Day. Please continue to sign up as a venue or a performer, and you can still register your June 21 events.”
2) Select the option to “List My Event.”
3) You will be taken to the Venue Info page, on which the following fields are required:
Venue Name: type in “Home” or the name of the place from which you plan to perform.
Venue Type: select the venue type “Online Concert Only.”
Rain or Shine: select “Performance will go on as scheduled.” (There is no need to worry about the weather!)
4) The following Venue Info page fields are optional:
Website: if you are not performing from home, but from your business or another space, feel free to share a URL.
Venue Description: if you are not performing from home, but from your business or another space, feel free to share information with our audience. If you are performing from home, type in the name of your neighborhood only, so that we know from where you hail.
Venue Social Links: if you are not performing from home, but from your business or another space, feel free to share a URL.
5) Select the button “Next: Location” and you will be taken to the Location page.
Select the Location option “online only.”
Enter your Live streaming website URL. Use your own website or your social media platform of choice: YouTube, IG, Facebook, Zoom, etc. You can return to this page of your profile at a later date if you are not yet sure or if your plans change.
6) Select the button “Next: Performance Time” and you will be taken to the Performance Info page on which the following fields are required:
Performer Name: type in your name of the name of your band or project.
Type of Music: select up to three genres from the drop-down menu.
Performer Bio: tell our audience a little about your planned performance.
Performance Time: use the slider to set your performance start time and end time (the slider uses fifteen-minute intervals).
7) The Website, Image and Social Links fields are optional; we encourage as much information as you are comfortable sharing.
8) Select the button “Submit Event for Approval.”
Congratulations! You have successfully registered to take part in Salem’s largest, one day celebration of music making! Expect to hear back from the Make Music Salem team within a week.
